Lobbying will likely be necessary for Niocorp. The New York Times article was eye-opening because it was not a negative piece about mining. The left has been anti-mining for decades and is now reluctantly supporting critical mineral operations. The right was okay with mining but now seems focused on helping traditional fossil fuels. It will be hard for either side to argue that China's REE dominance over US independence can continue. Niocorp will likely need help to reach both sides of the aisle for support when bipartisan support is hard to come by.
