The are part-time reviewers and full time medical specialists. Peer reviewers are limited in their time and in the information provided to them by the article sponsors. There are already a JAMA Oncology comment and a Journal of Neuro-Oncology Editorial (leading Neuro-Oncology journal) challenging the publication also they are prepared by Neuro-Oncologists with significant credentials and credibility. One key is the issue of a company employed Corresponding Author, Dr. Bosch who is a significant NWBO shareholder. A journal article that studied errors in journal article stated:
"Errors in the articles published in medical journals are common and longstanding. As far back as 1950, librarians were debating how to correct errors in medical journals. We have seen considerable progress in this area in recent decades and most journals now have policies to correct errors, as well as for dealing with fraud and scientific misconduct, in research articles."
