There were 2 out of 64 rGBM patients alive 5 years after recurrence with DCVax-L vs 0 out of 640. So if we were to multiply out the 64 to 640 treated patients we would have about 20 living patients from that 640 population instead of 0 at 4 years and 0 at 5 years in the ECAs. Those lives matter and all regulators recognize this.
In the newly diagnosed treatment arm with significant residual disease there were 13 patients alive out of 86 at 4 years and 9 alive at 5 years vs 0s for both 4 and 5 year survival out of 163 patients in the ECAs. Now you can merry-go-round all day about what constitutes significant residual disease and claim that as an issue but that is only YOUR issue as there was a green light from JAMA on this which had to pass muster from them and just like you, I trust JAMA more than a message board poster to know that what they are comparing to is legit. Beating hearts don’t lie even when message board posters tell fanciful stories about the patients they belong to being picked cherries while riding merry-go-rounds forever and a day as if chained to them ; ).
