The UK is focused on addressing brain tumors at a level not apparent at the FDA and the UK has consistently advanced DCVax-L in a way that also has not been institutionalized here despite some very prominent people dying of brain tumors. Our system simply does not have that kind of a long-term attention span as they do in the UK. We can manage about 2 years of focus at a time, maybe 4, sometimes 6-8 if it’s a super high national priority, more on the order of the Space Race or the Human Genome Project than GBM. Though the Brit’s were right there with us on the Human Genome Project.
