I know a company can file bankruptcy and literally zero out all the shareholders wiping them out. Then come back a few months later with even the same company name and print a new stock ticker and not give one new share to the old shareholders they wiped out. They can Rinse and Repeat this process many times, if their business model does not work. I lost $40K early in my trading career this way with a company called Global Crossings. You are talking to a fallen shareholder victim.
