Thanks to communication and instant news that is available everywhere. America has just become a more transparent country. America has had worse problems than these, Americans are just more aware of everything happening all around them.
Sure, it is complicated, but not like anyone's life. Everyone has many activities, as for the average American worker, at least his wages have finally gone up. So please take that into consideration, along with his or her ability to leave a job and find a new one.
Inequity is part of the game of Capitalism, of course tax breaks that only benefit the rich could go away. But daily battles are part of the game of Capitalism. Besides I do not see any other form of government that is better. America is far from perfect, but then just a quick glance back in time will show that America has come a long way in the past century, let alone America's third century.
I am also watching a five-year-old grandson who has had more education than I did when I started Kindergarten. He has also been blessed with technology that exposes him to much more than I had with my small transistor radio. I was happy if I could just get the score from the Yankee game so I could play my version of stick ball on the corner. I reminded my wife one more time that home plate was always the sewer plate, and the telephone pole decided what was in play.
