NOTE THAT DAYS TO COVER CONTINUE TO CLIMB!!!
Short interest climbed in May, June and July, peaking at over 20 million shares at the end of July. Since then it has been pretty constant at 17.5 to 18 million. Shorts have not been able to cover on the declining price.
See volume stats for December at bottom of the page. There were a few high volume days but we don't know how much of that volume was just short shares being churned,
