He doesn't need theatrics to walk away, he can step down any time, even announce a hiatus.
He could have done so and kept up his image of being a stable genius rather than having a total meltdown that's having a detrimental affect (mental being the key there) on two companies, countless investors, his image and reputation.
His bizarre behavior may jeopardize his other businesses if he's deemed an unhinged nutjob.
