Colon cancer markers in stool (Cologuard) presumably more highly concentrated than they would be in blood in the general circulation, as the former probably comes directly from bleeding polyps, and the latter is diluted by the total blood volume in the body.

As a guess…

Then again, Cologuard could be subject to sampling error, i.e., you didn’t swab the part/side that scraped across the suspect polyp.
