Referred to historical controls instead of contemporaneous. Referred to significant survival advantage in patients over 65 and said there was no explanation but it was explained by Dr. Liau's presentation (and I believe other presentations). Didn't refer to significant survival advantage in patients with significant residual disease as it would undermine his claim of selection bias. Dr. Stupp stated individual patient data was not available for the controls (true) yet Dr. Liau stated this consisted of 29 patients, most of which died early or were lost to follow-up and it would be irresponsible to compare against such a small arm. Dr. Stupp also failed to point out the zero toxicity but in his last sentence hinted that maybe DCVax-L would expose patients to a toxic treatment. Lots of other inconsistencies and cherry-picking of certain points.

All in all, I don't think this was as overtly misleading as say, Dr. Matt Williams.

I'm okay with this Stupp article. The guy doesn't want to see the Stupp Protocol replaced!
