NorthWest Biotherapeutics Inc (NWBO)

Assuming the mass Naked Shorting exist on this stock, why would those actors still be in this? We aren't talking about 80 IQ morons who carjack suburbanites.

Assume: 1) the NS exist; 2) they exist because NWBO has a revolutionary platform; 3) the NS have been profitable in the past; 4) NS's are smart enough to understand the technology; and 5) they are aware of the Co's current posture w/ respect to publication and technological approval. (Forget the deep past, let us just think about the timeline since data lock.)

The simple assumptions above lead me to conclude that the NS made real money every time they have been able to cheerlead the stock higher in the last two years (some of the accounts here were no doubt been helpful in this endeavor). Price action leading to 5.10.22 and the subsequent decline should have been very, very profitable in addition to other opportunities to cover in the last two years?

Perhaps I am dumb or thinking too simplistically. It's certainly been true with respect to other things, but being deep Naked Short at this day and time just doesn't make any sense to me.
