On the 'Barron's Live' podcast this morning, David Kelly of JPM made the point that if Republicans retake the House it's quite unlikely that any additional stimulus package will pass over the next two years. This political outcome may drive a weak 2023 economy down more quickly and force the Fed's hand to begin lowering rates to ensure a recession is short and mild.
