The calls were Jan 20. Maybe long enough for a pop on the news to come back down.

We shall see. I placed my bet.

My recent experience with calls is that even if they were deep in the money they didn't get exercised until the expiration date. Whether that holds true going forward is anybody's guess.

If investing was easy, everyone would be rich by now.
