Nightfood's single serve Ice Cream Sandwich format is on hold, because it would be a direct competitor to our ice cream pints in the Hotels.
The company has decided to focus on other formats first, three varieties of cookies initially, before introducing the Ice cream sandwiches
The cookies are an accompaniment to the pints, not an either or consumer alternative...and they can be sold in on-premise locations that don't have freezers in the Lobby Shops or rooms.
The potential likelihood of entirely different Nightfood products being bought simultaneously, is much greater than that of two frozen treats being purchased at the same time. Revenue stream potential vastly increased with the former scenario.
The consumer also has the option of taking the cookies on a "road trip" when they're going out cruising around from their Hotel, or taking them along for a snack when working.
A full size cookie is in R&D that could be placed in Airlines for their International flights.
