Before everyone starts shooting off emails about the number of shares they own, I think what you need is an official company release, stating

1) The date and time (after close of market) when they own those shares. IOW, a record date.

2) Exactly what information the company needs

3) The reasons for this.

Be careful though. Make absolutely 100% certain that this is what you want.
