After being challenged Crash clarified their remarks to say NWBO’s conduct has been fully consistent with the NEJM guidelines but not that NWBO is nevessarily pursuing publication in NEJM.

I suspect that the guidelines of NEJM are probably pretty standard and so NWBO could also be ‘following’ the guidelines of half a dozen journals but name dropping NEJM is more tantalizing.

Now if one could show that NEJM guidelines are distinct and one could show that NWBO is doing something that is almost uniquely in NEJM’s guidelines but not other journals’ guidelines then that would strengthen a case for NEJM being the most likely journal.
