Imo the multiple shots on goal and the checks and balances of the multi nation trial was genius in many respects.

UK approval would put extra scrutiny on the FDA decision imo, thus I would think the FDA decision makers would need more solid reasons for not approving. Also, there would be potential for survival statistics and wonderfully positive patient outcomes from the UK versus status quo poorer results in the US also putting the FDA in an undesirable light.
