The worst American exchange-listed place to be this year? NASDAQ's bottom tier, the RCMP resembles pennyland in some ways, only slightly better. The obscure Nasdaq Capital Market Composite Index (^RCMP) tracks that sector.

As of right now, ^RCMP is down 42% YTD. Compare it to QQQ which is off 31% and Cathie's ARKK down 59% in 2022

Nasdaq has three tiers; you want to avoid the bottom tier.
