So true. And even in non-penny stock securities class action lawsuits, common shareholders usually get zero benefit. Even if they win, most of the money is paid by the company (D&O and Director's insurance is very stingy and tends to pay very little of any judgement), which means shareholders are ultimately receiving their own money. Minus the huge chunk taken out by the lawyers, of course.
So, in the end, current shareholders are almost always big losers, even when they win the case.
