I'm listening to an interview (on bloomberg....David Rubenstein) of John Doerr, Kleiner Perkins Chairman (highly successful Venture Capitol firm; google, amazon....and admitted worse mistake was not investing in Elon Musk's Tesla): His 5 key factors of the most important elements of firms they invested in that had the most success..........(they did a retrospective analysis).

1) Technical Excellence
2) Strategic Focus (on a large existing or new market)
3) Outstanding management
4) Reasonable financing ....and finally...
5) A Sense of urgency

He said "No new venture possesses all of those."

I sense Lightwave possesses 4 if not 5 (#5....and the urgency is the Data Centers needs) of these, and I realize they need to hire more engineers, eventually sales, etc to stay ahead of the game. But they are literally a publicly traded company that is like a pre-IPO venture company in terms of the small valuation and huge potential upside. The fun has just begun!

PS: John Doerr had worked with Intel initially under Andy Grove, but John had more exciting interests in VC and innovative companies. Cool to see a person follow their passion and realize their dreams. ......Dr. Michael Lebby is on deck!
