Let's say my car was left unlocked with the keys in the ignition in a bad neighborhood at night, and the police alerted me and told how to protect it from theft.
So I moved the car to a nicer neighborhood, locked the doors, and took the keys with me.
Would citing the original risk to my car as still being valid AFTER I moved it... be relevant?
Of course not... it would be a FOOLISH statement!
But probably not as foolish as if someone still believed it EVEN AFTER they learned that the car was moved...
