Thanks Dave! I could be wrong but somewhere in FERC's writings there is reference to wanting to resolve issues in 45 days. I think, but am not sure, that FERC can rule without having to put it on the FERC Sunshine Agenda but either way, resolution will be soon.
In recognition of the Commission’s explicit statement that no answers or responses to protests will be considered here,2 however, Delfin is refraining from any response. Instead, Delfin LNG simply again urges the Commission to grant the requested extension of time for all of the reasons set forth in its July 15 filing, as supplemented and updated here.
Nothing in the Sierra et al protests necessitates spending thousands on environmental research and rebuttal in my opinion. Last year Sierra countered with lots of issues that Delfin couldn't resolve without bringing in the experts. This time there are no such issues to address other than delay tactics. Too bad FERC is on summer break. September it is!
Further, based on Delfin's insinuation that it is working on getting the Centrica deal to a firm SPA and others pending, that it would be in their best interest to make everything final/binding like yesterday to take any doubt away regarding commercial and financial viability!
