Verb has done a complete 180 from their original business model, if you think about it.

One of Rory's main message to push the 'buttons on a video' technology was that nobody has to have selling skills if they use Verb tech - the technology does the selling FOR YOU. Remember?

We saw what happened with that idea: From CRM standalone, to CRM integrations with Oracle, MLM companies..nothing caught on..then going worldwide with Salesforce and Microsoft Outlook...again crickets..The business model simply wasn't compelling enough.

So, they've done a 180. Now, we are back to buying from sellers who are 'fun' -- the technology isn't going to sell it. The seller is going to sell it. Granted, he is applying some of the main concepts: use video to sell, build an ecosystem (a destination), and use technology to make the process easier, borrow from MLM for attribution to help drive customers. But the idea that videos on a button would remove or replace the need for a person to be good at sales -- that no longer is part of the business model -- clearly the people hawking goods on the streaming infomercials will succeed only if they are good at it.
