I can understand an investor being unhappy if an investment does not work out as quickly as the investor had hoped, but I am really amazed at the accusations of pure incompetence levied against this company, and specifically that "She might be trying really really really hard but is in over her head." I'd like to explain why I disagree.
I sure know I would be in over my head if I had to guide this trial through the evaluation of multiple regulatory bodies across nations. Our company has done this. This refutes the notion that nobody has any idea what to do.
I sure know I would be in over my head if I had to try to negotiate funding with tough lenders, etc. Our company has done this. This refutes the notion that nobody has any idea what to do.
I sure know I would be in over my head if I was tasked with the buildout of a facility, the development of over 500 regulatory documents (including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all aspects of operations, batch manufacturing records, and other formal documents), development of a Sawston team of nearly 40 persons with all of the required types of expertise for production of Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs) and training in regard to the DCVax® technology and processes. Our company has done this. This refutes the notion that nobody has any idea what to do.
Then even if somehow I got that far, I really really would be in over my head if I had to try to buy Flaskworks, let alone knowing what to do with a prototype of the Flaskworks system should someone have delivered one to my Sawston facility. Our company has done this. This refutes the notion that nobody has any idea what to do.
Even if I got that far I would have no idea what to do to get initial practice runs with the system started. Our company has done this. This refutes the notion that nobody has any idea what to do.
And on and on. So many material achievements, all of which are ignored when you state so strongly that the company is in over its head. Honestly I am probably missing a number of outstanding achievements because I'm not smart enough to latch on to which are the key ones as a layperson.
Try checking this company out in a new light sometime, it may be rewarding. At the very least, perhaps a more modest insult to the company less pointed than suggesting nobody has any idea what is going on would be more factually correct.
