This may be news to some. No matter how incredibly successful this trial could be, in the coming days, there will be influential people who claim it's all BS and it actually failed. You can count on it. Adam Feuerstein amongst them. He has too much face to save and egg on his face if it succeeds. He will most likely be working overtime to dish out the most ridiculous nonsense that you've already heard a dozen times and maybe something new that he can twist from whole cloth.
The realization you may ultimately have is, even knowing something, you often still may not feel confident that you know it. Drug gets approved by FDA, the same people will be telling you ... but it won't succeed. That is the nature of this game.
These people don't give up. It's a game. They know people can easily be psyched out and that that creates value opportunities, both up and down. They can trade it anyway but sideways. They are disgusting people, but that is their job, to trade and to sow uncertainty any way they can, even when and if things seem certain, they can mess with your mind. That is what they do.
So you have to decide, do you feel lucky? Well do ya!? No, but seriously, conviction is a powerful thing. Some people make money by having absolutely NO conviction on anything. There are different ways to make money, but if you're like me, you like to judge what is more likely true and what is more likely just false information intended to take advantage of the uncertainty principle in investing. If you can do that, you'll be in good shape.
There are people, once they know they will either enjoy their conviction, and some may join those sowing uncertainty. We see the world has those people of various sorts every day.
