We’re generally on the same wavelength vis-à-vis 3M, as far as I can tell. When 3M eventually implements the Texas two-step to isolate the earplug legal liabilities it’ll cause a (temporary) hit to the company’s reputation, but the share price will surely benefit. I’m a long-term holder and can wait patiently for this to happen. What makes this decision more agonizing for 3M than it would ordinarily be is that the plaintiffs in the earplug cases are former soldiers.
