I just finished watching the Netflix series Inventing Anna.
The journalist who exposed the character travels to Berlin to try and track down Anna's Russian émigré parents.
She finds them and sits down to interviews them.
The mother says it's tough to be a Russian in Germany. They think were part of the Russian mob, we're oligarchs, we've got gold buried in the back yard or they think I'm hiding Rasputin's penis in my cupboard.
After I stopped laughing I wondered if that's a thing.
