I’d take that deal, but I am not sure if big pharma would want to take this risk given the history of this trial! One approach they could take would be to build contingency clause into the deal such as unlock additional $5B on FDA approval within a specific period similar to what BMY did with Celgene acquisition a couple of years ago….something along these lines!
