This is from the LANCET and the PRINCIPLE trial:
Interpretation
"Inhaled budesonide improves time to recovery, with a chance of also reducing hospital admissions or deaths (although our results did not meet the superiority threshold), in people with COVID-19 in the community who are at higher risk of complications." STOIC trial, tho' small, gave similar data.

A quick search of "budesonide, COVID" will yield plenty of other examples. Despite this, we are back to: "NICE removes budesonide from recommended COVID-19 treatments." (A British organization).

Wish things were cut and dried, but they are not..... NICE even acknowledges there is SOME benefit.

It never ceases to amaze me that a cheap drug like IVM, budesonide, HCQ, fluvoxamine, despite evidence leaning toward benefit in multiple trials, just doesn't seem to make it, while remdesivir, molnupiravir etc i.e. the expensive ones, are cleared to be used..... Confirmation bias may be at work here, I acknowledge, but.....the optics are pretty bad....
