Also may be MM’s are naked shorting the stock as they are trying to cover by creating panic? The speed at which those shares are showing up on the ask after hitting exact number of shares on bid is suggesting algo trading. I tried to bid on front of cdel but every time I do that they increase the bid 1 point higher automatically which tells me mm’s are trying to cover especially when mm ascm is involved. I think this same behavior was reported to SEC by Ms. Mars couple of years ago. May be Armen can do something about it? AIMHO.
