1) that patient may have thought he was likely to be a placebo patient but if he and the doctor could have known that would be a violation and a badly run trial, highly unlikely. Doesn’t change that they believed what they believed.
2) NWBO does not and did not run the randomization. The DMSB runs all of that and there is no way they would mess up the ratios of patients. That is like trial manger 101 and that actually would be a reason to terminate a trial, incompetence at that level, but that would also certainly require an 8-K. Again, not likely they messed it up by accident. If they did it would be a whole other order of magnitude of a different trial and company, and I do not think there is any way that the end points would have been agreed to be revised for a trial that would have already failed by incompetence.
A lot of the theories just can’t hold up on why the numbers were different than anticipated and why all those unenrolled patients would end up placebo. It’s not like the doctors are choosing and delay, delaying the placebo patients. It’s random and predetermined.
