Gary, I believe you’re mixing the SAP up with the trial protocol … there was always a trial protocol. The protocol was updated over the years as they made changes to this “adaptive” trial. However, the statistical analysis plan (SAP) was a completely separate document, and the SAP that is referenced in the trial protocol was actually never written until the end … before unblinding the trial, of course.
