Can I toss in my .02? I have actually taught at a community college. I had zero teaching experience. But- I was asked to teach a Comp Sci class because the regular teacher got ill. I was working at MSFT at the time so I really didn't need another job, but I thought it might be fun. One thing I can say for sure is those students got every bit as much from my class as they would have at any other college anywhere. I absolutely knew what I was talking about. There were a lot of others who were just as knowledgeable their subjects as I was. You're steering the kids right.
