There are official ratings. Obviously there are differences and tradeoffs for colleges and universities, for undergraduate school.

I have taught. Was part time for awhile at Boston College back when I was in my mid-20s. There are no specific qualifications for teaching at the university level, except that you be well-informed--preferably recognized as an expert--in your field. In most cases that means publications, but in others--say, if you're a successful CEO teaching a course in business school--not.

What you're doing is saying people who spent years and years learning things--which is what getting an education is--have wasted their time. That they could just have gone to community college. What would they have studied there? "Communications", or some other made-up field?
