I don't think you understood a word I wrote. That's because you have preconceived ideas you for some reason don't want to have to change.
I'm not saying you're wrong to help the neighborhood kids, for heaven's sake. You're not; it's an admirable thing to do. I'm sure they're grateful, as they should be.
But that has nothing to do with applying to, being accepted by, and attending a top school. And one does NOT, as you claim, "learn the same thing" at a community college as at a tier one college or university. It isn't only a question of WHAT is taught; it's a question of WHO TEACHES IT.
