The DMC in an unprecedented move put out a public statement to AF and his ilk that they did not do a review of efficacy. So it makes the Bear argument moot. By that time they were seeing and starting to understand pseudo progression. That is why the trial was extended.

Efficacy was never reviewed. They were picking up this pseudo progression effect from treatment outside the trial and with the Direct trial.
