Dan, I have cooked geese and venison numerous times in the smoker and was delighted every time. I have never tried a fried turkey or goose, but am told they are excellent. I never purchased a turkey frier because of the amount of oil it would take and I didn't want to have to throw all of that oil away. I recently learned that you could save the oil after use and don't have to throw it away, so I might get one. Keep us informed on the results. Have fun, Phil Phil
