Does this wealth of microbiome data explain what's taking so long in the rett syndrome readout? is AVXL doing deep research on the microbiome components of this illness?

To a point, yes, this goes a long way to setting me at ease w/what I had hoped/guessed might be going on behind the curtains. But, this is just a few of the opening chapters in what I hope to be a collection of classics. And...it's long overdue. (how the FDA allowed the Amyloid Plaque goose chase to go on is the opposite of what dr. M. and his team do. Having logged few hrs as a lab rat, I get it...there is never enough time.

You may have seen my ref to a guy I did an intern program w/a long time ago. His name is Dr. Peter Senge. Not only is he a brilliant systems guy, he was/is humble and easy to listen to...(not a stuffed-condescending academic", it's about me" guy). He has done well w/books and @MIT where I knew him.

Dr. Senge would peel the layers of stuff off of any kernel of knowledge and show you what was REALLY going on. The consequence of this was an understanding that the learning process was never done-finished, if you choose to stop peeling, OK but there is always more to know-understand in any system. Dr.M. reminds me of Dr. Senge. If I am correct, Dr M. must drive the people around him on his team nuts w/his continuous turning over of rocks, just when they think they/he are done.

The good news for us a shareholders is, he is on our side. AVXL will likely continue to lead and will also move quicker than most expect b/c to him, it presents a challenge.

Dr. Senge has an expression in his book which he uses to describe levels of knowledge. This may explain what drives AVXL leadership. The expression is ...:they now have a clear(er) vision of "what they know, they do not know..." AND IMO, that drives him/them nuts.

Trouble is of course, the FDA trials process is not structured to work in such dynamics. So, being late is a bother.

So, they just keep peeling away at CNS, which goes on forever....hence the long list of previously unknown-unknown potential disease solutions brilliantly pointed out by Mayo.
