Hi all, I have a question about hiding my IP address while browsing. There is software here:

apparently it hides the IP address

How necessary is this for security? I guess maybe if you are on a wireless connection it would be useful.

I have a good firewall protection, when I go to "shields up" and test my computer it passes with flying colors.

What is the advantage/disadvantage of hiding my IP address?
