NOPE!!! It's gains and losses....short term.....long term....ALL accounted for!!!!!!!!!! I think you All do not have all of the details and I'm not putting all of them on the board. IRS is more than welcomed to check me out!!! They have done it more than once and I am ALWAYS clean!!! I'm clean and what I do is clean. Not stating all of the details!!!!!!!

Well, I'm obviously not changing your mind, so I'll stop arguing with you after this. If you'd like to prove me wrong, please find me one regulation that stipulates wash sales as dependent in any way, shape, or form on the date of the resale of the security. All it covers is the date of the sale, and a period of days +/- 30 in which a similar purchase is made. Period.

To anyone else reading this thread, please do not follow Sir P's advice on this. He is absolutely in the wrong.
