Yankee fans however have faith and trust that's rare among Mets fans.

I wouldn't be so sure of that. Cashmaa said after the season ended he'd have money to spend in the off season. That hasn't happened.

I think the Yankees are hoping the cap before penalties kick in gets raised significantly. The players want it for various reasons.
