Mets have easily made the top 3 most-hated teams in MLB list with this cash splash. And I don't think it's all checkbook envy. Cohen's a known pRick and Sandy has shown he bought the Mets moral compass at the same 2 dollar store where Houston shops.

It'll be interesting to see how this team compares to the 80's Mets team, which performed at a high level on the field but benefited mightily from the lack of internet exposure, ie, their off-field crimes. No hiding in today's world.
