I'm not against Rebuilding, in fact it is not a bad idea. Thing is i Believe SA already said that was off the table, so whether I agree with it or not, I didn't consider that move if they weren't gonna do it.
Hence if that is off the table than going all in is the only other move that can be made in my opinion.
Either we go all in or rebuild. If we rebuild we trade degromm and get a huge haul at some point.
Unless the plan is to spend 300 Million I agree with you that this will fail. And I don't think they will. I said management would spend a fortune but build a not enough good team, the hire doesn't exactly give me condience that I'm wrong.
I mean Ray and Gausman had great years, I actually consider them as part of the top of the market as well. The problem with the mets is they really don't have any pitching in the pipeline. they need to build it through FA, or it isn't gonna be 2 years, it is gonna be more like 5 years if you get lucky. So just saying build the pitching that is great, but you need prospects in the system. They don't have it right now, heck we drafter rocker this year and didn't sign him.
I don't think a retool in two year is possible, because there is no young arms in there system the pitching is gonna have to be brought if you want to compete in the next 3 years in my opinion.
