Yeah, we're both sure we got the 'rona... The symptoms were textbook. I have probably 90% of my taste and smell back (been 16 days since I lost it). Spousal Unit is still suffering of lack of the aforementioned. She is at the point of discerning salt and sweet but still no "flavor". I warned her that it is a sloooooow process. Our daughter (who we're sure we contracted it from told us her taste and smell are 100% back now- so I figure I've got another 2-3 days to go and the wife probably a week.

We are fully vaccinated including the 3rd booster albeit we now figure we were exposed and positive when we got the booster. At first, it felt like a bad head cold. The fatigue (which is significant) was the first give away- then the loss of taste and smell- trust me, this was no ordinary head cold. We just lost a friend (he would've turned 44 the past Wednesday) from covid. He died last weekend- he refused to get the vaccine. He wasn't militant or anti-vax... just not for himself. He was sick at home for two weeks but just didn't improve. So he went to the doc's office. Was immediately placed in the hospital- wound up on a vent 3-4 days later... died third day after the vent.

My wife is still congested in her chest (improving daily however) and we both agree that if she had not been vaccinated, she would be in the hospital. I feel the same improvement as my taste and smell (90%) after 16 days. I'm back to my 10,000 steps daily and almost back to my full weight lifting routines. wink
