I've been impressed with Bob Prechter for many years and I also remember his call for a Wave 3 Decline during 2009 just as it turned sharply back up with a "face ripping, stunning rally"....his reputation was made in 1987 and he called the top perfectly...
I spoke with him during his terrible prostrate cancer and he's had some great guys there (Steve Hochberg does his short term analysis), Altman was, imo, the best there. Their Economic Analysis makes so much sense and so does their perspective on Psychology...but locked in BEARS....I've learned to just stand back and allow big money interests watch their money....ha ha...they are always long at some point and clean out the retail.
I eventually got turned on to a guy, Tony Caldaro, who used the Objective Elliott Wave (OEW)...he was by far the best Elliott Wave Guy, imo...Sadly, he passed away a couple of years ago and his daughter tried to keep it alive, but it never made it. He was originally from NYC, but then worked out of Chicago. I loved that guy and many people just loved that guy!
