I really admire the NetList crew for fighting this battle. I also think judges and juries have to assign punative damages whenever possible to at least send a message to these theives.

Thank you. I and several others have been saying this for a very long time.
Chuck Hong has spent his own money fighting these bastards. Another item to consider when making an award settlement, his own losses. Along with shareholders having to suffer damages due to the legal battles with these bastards where it has impacted share price (revenues that should have been made had these entities been paying for the IP they are using to begin with~!).

Without a significant judgement against companies like Samsung and Google, companies like them will continue to thumb their noses at everything while they abuse any company they wish to abuse.

One does not have to be a rocket scientist in order to figure out what's going on here. Common sense tells the whole story. Samsung and Google both feel they can just run companies over. Their pockets are VERY deep.

Isn't it time to take some jingle out of those pockets to send a stern message to all who play the same game?
That's why $2 billion settlement from Samsung is a joke. But then part of the penalty is Samsung's loss of NetList IP. Screw them.
