I agree with you. It's shameful how these giant companies flaunt patent rights and brazzenly steal whatever they want thinking no one can fight them. I really admire the NetList crew for fighting this battle. I also think judges and juries have to assign punative damages whenever possible to at least send a message to these theives.

Here is one of the unfair reason Samsung and Google keep doing this. Without punative damages, the courts usually try to make the infringed party whole. Meaning at the least they will receive the royaties they should have. Obviously an argument will be made as to NetList being damaged in much greater ways than just the loss of royalties but that's where it starts and that is easy for juries to see. So companies like Samsung/Google feel like why not roll the dice we would have to pay the royalties anyway. So I hope the NetList attorneys can make a strong case to many ways that Netlist was damaged and I have read both ways as to whether or not punative damages are a possibility.
