Incredibly complicated stuff for sure. As far as I am concerned, what is most annoying to me is by how much the negotiated contracts between different providers and an insurer can range. I have seen instances where the range of discount was between a low of 12% to a high of over 70%! And I just love it when you call a medical billing office and they say that they are unable to provide you with the exact cost of a particular procedure. It is a system that is broke beyond repair...

Very complicated stuff, I think.
