UPDATED: Koog, I don't know where you get your definitions, but i use the word properly as per universal common usage

Selfishness is being concerned excessively or exclusively, for oneself or one's own advantage, pleasure, or welfare, regardless of others.[1][2]

Selfishness is the opposite of altruism or selflessness; and has also been contrasted (as by C. S. Lewis) with self-centeredness.[3]

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Selfishness

"It's sad when the word "selfishness", a virtuous trait, is bastardized to mean the opposite.

Selfishness is serious, rational, principled concern with one's own well-being. This does not disregard the well-being of others. In fact it demands respect of the rights of others as all men have the right to pursue their own well-being.
"

If you wish to go into some philosophical discussion that the common definition is incorrect go ahead.

One thing is clear you bastardized the accepted common meaning of the word. Not I.

UPDATE: OH lolol i though yours sounded familiar. Ayn Rand you're into with that .. https://www.atlassociety.org/post/virtue-of-selfishness . OUCH!

It was Plato who said, “He, O men, is the wisest, who like Socrates, knows that his wisdom is in truth worth nothing”
