I'm pretty sure they said the drilling crew was Israeli. And the previous crew was Romanian. Possibly they intend to add to the 3D seismic testing, originally done by the Hungarian division of Viking (by the so-called Zion Oil independent board of directors).

Bottom line is, Zion Oil will not tell us. We have no idea why they are flying the Hungarian flag. No idea what contract the Hungarians are working. None. Nadda. From the various bios online, we know Rob Dunn, as a previous Viking senior management VP and President of Viking International, used to run AGS in Hungary as general manager, but not much else.

But you are right, everything is probably kosher and definitely secondary to finding oil in Israel; their willingness to engage in these arm in arm transactions while under SEC investigation indicates either a super arrogant attitude on their part, or the fact that what they are doing is legally okay, even if they do it in the dark, won't tell us, and intentionally delete the various pre-existing online bios for people who have joined their staff.
